EACC CHAIRPERSON PAYS COURTESY CALL ON THE ATTORNEY GENERAL
The Chairperson of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Archbishop (Rtd) Eliud Wabukala today paid a courtesy call on the Attorney General Prof. Githu Muigai.
Archbishop Wabukala who was accompanied by Commissioners and the senior management of the Commission met the Attorney General at his office in Sheria House.
Prof Muigai acknowledged the role played by EACC in the fight against graft and affirmed his commitment to support it. He further called on the Commission to work with other Government agencies for easier execution of its mandate.

He encouraged the Commission to be a strong member of the Multi-Agency Task Force so as to help it dialogue with other agencies in the criminal justice system.
The Chairman gave his assurance that the Commission will work smoothly with the Secretariat.
He said the Commission will empower the secretariat and support it to do its job. The role of the Commission will only be to oversight, he added.

Rev. Wabukala who took office on January 23 2017, assured the Prof. Muigai that the Commission would discharge its mandate under his leadership diligently.
The courtesy call was the first assignment by the EACC Chairperson who was sworn in on January 23, 2017.
