COMMISSION SENSITIZES CHINGA BOYS HIGH SCHOOL ON INTEGRITY CLUB
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) on Friday 3rd, 2017 conducted a sensitization exercise for its Integrity Club at Chinga High School in Nyeri County.
The Integrity Club is an initiative of the Preventive Services Directorate at EACC focused on schools with the aim of instilling integrity values in the young minds of students and pupils for culture change. The Directorate oversees education, public awareness, training and prevention of corruption through its various progammes. EACC officer introduces Chinga Boys to the Commissions Integrity Club
EACC Commissioner Mr.Mwaniki Gachoka facilitated the sensitization exercise. He was accompanied by the Commissions Education Training and Public Awareness Head, Dr. Purity Gitonga, Central Region Head Mr.Jackson Mue, and various officers drawn from both the headquarters and the Central Region office

The Principal of Chinga Boys Mr. Fredrick Murage, pledged to support the initiative by ensuring that the schools Clubs patron was selected based on the criteria proposed in the Integrity Club Guide Book. He also challenged the students to register as members and uphold integrity standards in all their activities.
Through their various captains, the students welcomed what they referred to as the timely introduction of the Club, given the many cases of corruption and unethical behaviour in various sectors of the Kenyan society, including the education one. They thanked the EACC for the visit and the sensitization exercise. EACC Commissioner Mr.Mwaniki Gachoka, together with the Chinga Boys Principal Mr.Fredrick Murage reward a keen student with a loaf of bread for responding to integrity questions posed during the sensitization exercise.>
