EACC EMBARKS ON A STAFF INDUCTION PROGRAMME
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has begun a week-long induction programme at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development for 26 newly recruited members of staff. The staff, drawn from various backgrounds, will complement the efforts of the current staff in the fight against graft.
Commissioner Paul Mwaniki Gachoka, in his keynote address, invited the staff to share in the Commissions Vision and participate in its Mission. He asked the new employees to espouse the EACC Core Values, particularly the value of integrity. "It is because it should be in the core of the most important part of our brand - the employees" said Commissioner Gachoka. The Commissioner also urged the new staff to settle in quickly and do their work as per their job descriptions bearing in mind that they are expected to be sober, reflective and professional.
The EACC Secretary / Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Halakhe Waqo, CBS, MCIArb who was also present, gave the welcoming remarks. He urged the staff to embrace hard work, loyalty towards the Commission, and have a positive disposition, among other virtues.
