NATIONAL DEFENCE COLLEGE STUDY VISIT TO EACC

The team from the NDC was led by Colonel Ngugi Muhindi who was accompanied by one faculty member and nine other participants from the College who included military officers and other senior Government officers from Kenya and other African countries. They were received by Commissioner Paul Gachoka and other Senior Officials from the Commission.

The visit to the Commission was aimed at familiarizing the course participants with the role played by EACC in National and Regional Development. The participants were taken through:

• Historical background of EACC
• Vision, Mission, Mandate and functions of the Commission
• Role EACC plays in National and Regional Development
• Recruitment, training and Restructuring
• Achievements, challenges and constraints in the fight against corruption
• EACC’s future strategic focus
