17:03:2026: The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), through its Education and Public Awareness Department, visited Homa Bay High School on March 11, 2026, as part of its ongoing outreach programmes to inculcate strong moral values and integrity among learners.
The EACC delegation was led by Deputy Director of Education and Public Awareness, Dr. Emily Mworia, who delivered an engaging integrity talk to more than 2,000 students at the school. In her address, Dr. Mworia emphasized the critical role that values, ethics, and personal responsibility play in shaping responsible citizens and future leaders.
She encouraged students to embrace honesty and accountability. She urged them to join and actively participate in their schools’ integrity clubs, where they could learn about values, ethics, and the importance of integrity in society.
Other Commission officers who addressed the students, including South Rift Office Deputy Regional Manager John Agar also encouraged them to stay focused on their studies, uphold discipline, strive for excellence, and maintain strong ethical standards.
The visit forms part of the EACC’s broader mandate to prevent corruption by nurturing a value-driven society. Through school outreach programs and public awareness initiatives, the Commission seeks to equip young people with the knowledge and principles needed to promote integrity and accountability in the community and across the nation.
