EACC, CAJ strengthen partnership to advance integrity and good governance

03:07:2026: The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and the Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional collaboration to advance integrity, accountability, transparency, and good governance across Kenya’s public sector.

The commitment was made yesterday during a high-level consultative meeting between EACC Chief Executive Officer Mr. Abdi Mohamud and a CAJ delegation led by Vice Chairperson Ms. Dorothy Jemator. The two commissions agreed to deepen cooperation through sustained engagement and joint initiatives to improve governance and public service delivery.

Key areas of collaboration include public education and awareness, complaints handling, investigations, institutional capacity building, information sharing, and the implementation of joint programmes to enhance accountability and institutional effectiveness.

The commissions noted that their complementary constitutional mandates provide a strong foundation for coordinated action to promote ethical leadership, protect citizens’ rights, strengthen transparency and accountability, and foster responsive public administration. They also committed to reinforcing collaboration mechanisms to maximize their collective impact in addressing governance challenges.

The meeting highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships among constitutional oversight institutions in strengthening accountability systems, enhancing public confidence in government institutions, and supporting the delivery of efficient, transparent, and citizen-centred public services.

The renewed partnership reflects EACC’s commitment to working with like-minded institutions to safeguard public resources, promote ethical conduct, and foster a culture of integrity in support of sustainable national development.
