EACC, Chinese anti-corruption agency explore closer cooperation in graft fight

09:07:2026: The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) hosted a high-level delegation from the Peopleโ€™s Republic of China led by H.E. Mr. Wang Xingning, Director General of the Shaanxi Provincial Supervisory Commission, for discussions on strengthening collaboration in the fight against corruption.

The meeting brought together leaders from both institutions to exchange experiences, share perspectives, and explore areas of collaboration in advancing integrity, accountability and transparency.

EACC Chairperson Dr. David Oginde expressed the Commissionโ€™s interest in learning from Chinaโ€™s experience and approaches in preventing and combating corruption, noting the importance of sharing knowledge and best practices in strengthening anti-corruption efforts.

H.E. Mr. Wang Xingning observed that corruption remains a complex and evolving challenge, with corrupt actors constantly adapting to changing environments. He emphasized the need for anti-corruption agencies to remain responsive in addressing emerging challenges.

EACC CEO, Mr. Abdi Mohamud highlighted the importance of continued collaboration between EACC and the Shaanxi Provincial Supervisory Commission and expressed the Commissionโ€™s readiness to engage in research, training, and knowledge sharing to enhance anti-corruption efforts.
