EACC Conducts Ethics Training for Laikipia County Assembly Members
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has conducted a two-day capacity-building workshop for Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) of Laikipia, aimed at strengthening ethical leadership and compliance with integrity laws.
The training, taking place from March 25 to 26, 2026, in Nakuru County, focuses on key governance frameworks, including Chapter Six of the Constitution, the Conflict of Interest Act, 2025, and the Declaration of Income, Assets, and Liabilities requirements.
The workshop was officially opened by Laikipia County Assembly Speaker, Hon Lantaano Nabaala, alongside Clerk Moses Waweru and EACC South Rift Regional Manager Mr. Kipsang Sambai. The leaders emphasized the importance of integrity, transparency, and accountability in public service, noting that continuous training is essential in equipping MCAs with the knowledge and tools needed to uphold ethical standards.
Through the training, participants are expected to deepen their understanding of constitutional provisions related to leadership and integrity, gain practical guidance on managing conflicts of interest, and enhance their compliance with wealth declaration requirements. The sessions also provide a platform for members to share experiences and navigate ethical challenges in public service.
The training is being facilitated by EACC officials from the Ethics Development and Monitoring Department, including Mr. Yattani Golo and Ms. Lavina Lodompui, who are leading discussions and interactive sessions.

The workshop forms part of EACC’s broader efforts to promote accountability and integrity in county governments, as the Commission continues to support leaders in upholding ethical standards and enhancing public trust.
