EACC EDMS Implementation Committee undertakes workflow assessment exercise
EDMS Implementation Committee Chairperson, Assistant Director, ICT Infrastructure and Security, Paul Mwangi, leads the committee members in reviewing the project’s overall status
15:06:2026: The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) Implementation Committee has concluded a five-day technical review workshop at Lake Naivasha Resort aimed at reviewing and assessing workflow implementation requirements for the Commission’s ongoing document management automation project.
The retreat, held from June 8 to 12, brought together members of the inter-directorate implementation committee and the system consultant to evaluate progress in the acquisition and implementation of the Electronic Document Management System, which is expected to automate the Commission’s entire document lifecycle, including digital capture, indexing, workflow management, retrieval, and archival.
Led by the Committee Chairperson, Assistant Director, ICT Infrastructure and Security, Paul Mwangi, participants reviewed the project’s overall status and examined the system’s technology stack and functionality. The sessions included a first-time system navigation walkthrough as well as demonstrations of key processes such as incoming mail, internal memos, and outgoing mail management.

The team also reviewed workflow requirements across various departments to ensure that institutional operational needs are fully incorporated into the system. Discussions focused on potential integrations with existing Commission systems, including HR Central, B2P, iCMS, Adili Online, and SAGE 300, as well as workflows relating to procurement, finance, internal audit, ethics, and investigations.
The EDMS Implementation Committee was appointed by the CEO to work closely with the selected supplier and oversee the successful delivery of the project. Since its appointment, the committee has been consolidating departmental workflows to support the development of a comprehensive and efficient document management framework.
The Committee’s mandate includes reviewing the system’s functional requirements, documenting document workflow processes, monitoring implementation progress, identifying integration requirements, overseeing system testing, and supporting user training and rollout activities.
Once implemented, the EDMS is expected to enhance operational efficiency, improve records management, strengthen accountability, and support digital transformation within the Commission
