EACC, Kenya Scouts Association explore partnership to advance integrity among youth

06:08:2026: The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and the Kenya Scouts Association have initiated discussions on a strategic partnership to strengthen ethics, integrity, and anti-corruption education among young people across the country.
The proposed collaboration was discussed on Wednesday when EACC Commissioner John Ogallo led a Commission delegation on a courtesy call to the Kenya Scouts Association headquarters at Rowalland Camp, where they met the Association’s Chief Executive Officer, Moses Danda.
The partnership seeks to leverage the strengths of both institutions to nurture a generation of ethical and responsible citizens by promoting integrity, accountability, and good values through structured youth programmes.
Speaking during the meeting, Commissioner Ogallo emphasized that preventing corruption requires a whole-of-society approach, with young people playing a central role in shaping an ethical future for the country.
“A strategic partnership between Integrity Clubs and the Kenya Scouts Association would strengthen values education and provide learners with practical opportunities to translate values into action,” Commissioner Ogallo said.
The meeting identified several areas of collaboration, including joint programmes and initiatives designed to promote ethics, integrity and accountability among young people. The proposed partnership will build on the Commission’s preventive approach to combating corruption through public education and values-based initiatives.
The discussions also highlighted the Commission’s recent engagement with the Kenya Scouts Association during the National Scouts Inter-Patrol Competition at Mount Kenya University, where EACC’s Education and Awareness team conducted sensitization sessions on ethics, integrity and anti-corruption.
Also present were EACC Director of Preventive Services Mr. Vincent Okong’o and Deputy Director for Education and Public Awareness, Dr. Emily Mworia, who reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to working closely with the Kenya Scouts Association to develop and implement the proposed partnership.
Welcoming the initiative, Kenya Scouts Association Chief Executive Officer Moses Danda expressed the Association’s readiness to formalize and operationalize the collaboration, noting that it would provide a valuable platform for nurturing young people into champions of integrity.
Once formalized, the partnership is expected to enhance ethics and integrity education among the youth while contributing to national efforts to prevent and combat corruption through sustained values-based engagement.
