Former Kisii County MCA found guilty of personation

Former Kegogi Ward MCA, Kepha Sagini Nyakundi, was yesterday found guilty of multiple charges, including personation, providing false information, and uttering false documents, in a judgment delivered at the Eldoret Law Courts.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) investigated Nyakundi over allegations that he impersonated another individual to fraudulently benefit from academic or professional credentials contained in official documents. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) concurred with the Commission’s recommendations and filed charges.
Presiding Chief Magistrate Hon. Mikoyan found Nyakundi guilty on all six counts — one count of personation of a person named in a certificate, three counts of providing false information, and two counts of uttering false documents.
The court has set October 14, 2025, for mitigation ahead of sentencing.
