KLIF is a partnership and governance initiative established for a unified and integrated fight against corruption by the public and private sectors. The creation of partnerships and networks is intended to have a greater impact in promoting ethics and integrity.

In his keynote address, the Chairperson of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Dr. David Oginde, emphasized that corruption remains the greatest impediment to Kenya’s development aspirations. He called for strengthened unity in the fight against corruption, underscoring that the responsibility lies not solely with the EACC but with all sectors of society.

“This is a collective national mission,” Dr. Oginde said. “KLIF provides an opportunity to deepen intersectoral collaboration. We urge all institutions represented here to act as champions in this fight.”

EACC Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abdi Mohamud, encouraged participants to contribute innovative ideas through their respective committees and utilize KLIF as a space to bolster anti-corruption efforts. He clarified that KLIF operates independently and belongs to the stakeholders, not the EACC, affirming the Commission’s continued support for its coordination and success.

KLIF Head, Ms. Joyce Munene, reiterated the Forum’s central role in promoting inclusive dialogue and collaboration among institutions. “KLIF is a unifying platform,” she noted, “offering a collective space for all stakeholders committed to improved governance in line with national, regional, and global anti-corruption commitments.”
