Nairobi Trade Fair Comes to a Close
As the curtain came down on the week-long Nairobi International Trade Fair, the EACC had every reason to feel fulfilled. It had hosted deputy president William Ruto at its stand, engaged with more than 3000 students and spread its anti-corruption message to an even larger community of visitors.
The Commission’s main objective at the trade fair was to:
– educate the public on its role in the fight against graft;
– demonstrate the various ways of reporting corruption such as through the online platform BKMS on the commission’s website;
– expose students to the value of integrity clubs in schools.
During his visit to the stand located on Kenyatta Drive at the Jamhuri Showground, the Deputy President was impressed by the Commission’s schools’ Integrity Clubs initiative.
EACC officials distributed publications dealing with Chapter Six of the Constitution, various pieces of legislation that touch of public and state officers, school texts authored by the Commission and a plethora of reports.
The trade fair began on 30th September 2019 and ended on 6th October.
