Shaping Ethical Leaders: EACC Hosts Integrity Club Forum in Kisii

June 15, 2025 — The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), through its South Nyanza Regional Office, held an Integrity Club Forum at Nyabururu Girls National School, bringing together students from several secondary schools in Kisii County.

The event aimed to promote ethics and integrity among young people through open dialogue and creative performances.

In his keynote speech, EACC Senior Education Officer Mr. John Agar praised the growing role of Integrity Clubs in schools, saying they are helping shape future leaders. He also noted the strong partnership between EACC and the Ministry of Education in supporting this initiative.

“Wherever life takes you, be a champion of integrity,” Mr. Agar told the students, encouraging them to stay true to ethical values in school and beyond.

Kisii County Quality Assurance and Standards Officer Mr. Mayodi, and host Principal Dr. Joyce Orioki, also spoke at the forum urging the students to live by the values they learn and appreciate the support they receive from their parents and the government.

Students expressed themselves through songs, skits, and speeches focused on integrity. Their performances addressed key issues such as exam cheating, drug abuse, and bribery, showing their understanding of the importance of honesty and responsibility.

The students thanked EACC and the Ministry of Education for giving them a platform to share their ideas. They promised to continue promoting integrity in their schools and communities.

The forum drew participation from seven schools including Kisii School, Kereri Girls, St. Charles Lwanga Ichuni Girls, Geturi Mixed Secondary, Nyabururu Girls, Moi Gesusu High School, and Kadika Girls from neighbouring Migori County.
